  He graduated from Vance High School in 1974, from Louisburg College in 1976 and from UNC-CH in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 1981, he received his Masters of Education from UNC-CH, as well as his Social Studies Certificate in 1985.
  Bob taught and coached at Youngsville Middle School from 1979-1996. He taught briefly at Franklinton High School in 1996. From 1996-1999, Bob taught and coached at Terrell Lane Middle School. Bob taught and coached at Cedar Creek Middle school through the 2004 school year and was named Teacher of the Year.
  Bob was a lifelong member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, a deacon and a member of the Sanctuary Choir. In 2000, he participated in the Baptist Men's Missions Volunteer to Honduras trip. Bob was also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and was a published poet.
  In addition to all these accomplishments, Bob will especially be remembered as a loving and devoted husband dedicated brother and son, and a most faithful and inspiring friend to all.
  Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church of Henderson. The faculty and staff of Cedar Creek Middle School will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the home.
  He is survived by his wife, Cherry Knight Ayscue; his mother, Madge Spence Ayscue; his sister, Delores A. Elliott and husband, Raymond, of Salisbury; two brothers, Skeet Ayscue and wife, Elizabeth, of Albemarle and David Ayscue and wife, Brenda, of Henderson; nieces, Katie Foster, Mary Ayscue, Bonnie Gatewood and husband, Terry, and daughter, Chelsea, and Rebekah Ayscue and nephews, Jay Ayscue and Spencer Ayscue.¹
