  Mr. Roy Benjamin Harris, Jr. age 63 of 3615 East Geer Street, Durham, died Friday, February 13, 2009. A native of Granville Co. and the son of the late Roy B. Harris, Sr. and Bessie Sue Renn Harris. He was of the Baptist Faith. Roy graduated from Durham High School. He was in the reserve from 1968 until 1974. He was a truck driver for 40 years. He drove for Epps, Northern Telecom and Transport Services.
  A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2009 from Elmwood Cemetery, Oxford, NC.
  Surviving are his friends. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Sunday at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street and at other times at the home of Dennis Brandon, 4263 Belltown Road, Oxford, NC.   Mrs. Renn was a homemaker. She previously worked at several local tobacco warehouses. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church, where she served on the cemetery committee and was a former member of the church choir.
  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Clyde Waiden and the Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
  Surviving are: two sons, Jonathan McCoy Renn, and wife Lynn, and Christopher Allen Renn, all of Henderson; two sisters, Elsie H. Strange, of Henderson, and Bertha H. Williams, of Evans, Ga; and three grandchildren, Kristen M. Renn, Leah A. Renn, and Channie M. Renn, all of Henderson.
  She was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Lee H. Poole, and two brothers, Fredrick Lee Harris Jr. and Samuel Edward Harris.³
