  EATONTON, Ga. - Alfred McGrady Hoyle Sr., age 83, of Eatonton, Ga., died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at his home.
  Born August 23, 1924, in Henderson, N.C., he was the one of 15 children born to the late Ernest Edward Hoyle and Mary Faulkner Hoyle. He graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington, N.C. in 1943 and attended Morningside College and Elon College. During World War II he served his country in the European Theater in the United States Army. He worked as the Senior Staff of computer technology at AT&T formerly known as Lucent Technologies retiring in the spring of 1975 after 26 years. While living in Palm Coast, Florida, he was a volunteer on the Fire Department and also served as the president. In Palm Coast, Florida he was the project coordinator for the sanctuary addition to Trinity Presbyterian Church and the sound engineer for the church. He was also president of the Palm Coast YMCA. Four years ago they moved to Eatonton, Georgia to be closer to their son and his family who live in Greensboro, Ga. He was a member of Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church in Eatonton.
  He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Gammon Hoyle of Eatonton, Ga; a son, Alfred McGrady Hoyle Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Greensboro, Ga; siblings, Catherine Michael of Burlington, N.C., Ruth Qualls of Burlington, N.C., Pauline Tate of Elon, N.C., Bertha Mullins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bobby A. Hoyle of Virginia Beach, Va., Beacham H. Hoyle of Burlington, N.C., Paul Hoyle of Elon, N.C; sister-in-law, Ruth Dempsey Hoyle; two grandchildren, Scott Kevin Hoyle and wife, Amy, of Duluth, Ga. and Kelly Amanda Fuller and husband, Mark, of Eatonton, Ga; great-grandchildren, Matthew, 5 years old, Elijah, four years old and stepgrandson, Noah, nine years old; and scores of nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosa Robinson, Edward A. Hoyle Sr., Earl T. Hoyle, Robert B. Hoyle, Ernest W. Hoyle, Henry T. Hoyle and Vernon G. Hoyle.
  Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church in Eatonton, Ga. with the Rev. Dr. Joe King officiating. Inurnment will follow at Walker Church cemetery.³

  HENDERSON - Arch Clark Hoyle Sr., 86, of the Senior Citizens Nursing Home, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005, in UNC Hospitals.
  Mr. Hoyle was a retired tobacco farmer and an active member of Carey Baptist Church.
  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carey Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
  Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Hoyle Rumsey, Kay Hoyle Rankin and Diane Hoyle Hogshire; a son, Arch Clark Hoyle Jr; and a sister, Marguerite Hoyle Smith.
  The family will receive visitors immediately following the service in the Carey Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.⁶
