Born Oct. 25, 1925 in Wilkes County she was a daughter of the late Jonas Johnson and Nancy Elizabeth Johnson. She retired from Cannon Mills Co. Cannon Towel Store and worked in the wash cloth and set departments over her career. She then worked at Jackson Park Elementary School in the cafeteria. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church where she was active in many church activities including Sunday school teacher and choir member. Survivors include her husband, Ira Elwood Faulkner; son, Terry Wayne Faulkner, of Kannapolis; daughter, Denice F. Adkins, of Burlington; sister, Eloise Allman, of Kannapolis; brother, Staley Johnson of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Erica Faulkner, of Kannapolis; and step granddaughter, Cindy Julian, of Charlotte.¹
