Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene (Genie) Falkner; and son, Robert Falkner.
Surviving are her children, Margaret Brame of Lawrenceville, Va., Lucy Rutledge and her husband Garland of Chase City, Va; William Falkner and his wife Elaine of Warrenton; Frances Shearin and her husband Dennis of Littleton; Ruby Jacobs and her husband Dennis of Chester, Va; Claire Hedgpeth and her husband Romulus of Proctorville; Bettie Paschall and her husband Earl of Chester, Va; Carolyn Handoe and her husband Harry of Warrenton; Helen West and her husband Lee Roy of Warrenton; Joseph (Joe) Falkner of Norlina; and one sister, Geneva Moody of Wise. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great- grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, eleven step grandchildren, thirteen step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, October 25, 2004 at Macon United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Jimmy Wooten. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery.3
