Surviving are his wife, Shirley Dennis McDaniel; a daughter, Diane M. Arrington, and husband Phil, of Henderson; three grandchildren, Melissa Arrington, Brooke Arrington and Nate Arrington, all of Henderson; a sister, Mary Frances M. Roberson, and husband James "Spooky," of Henderson; and two brothers, Thomas D. McDaniel, and wife Patricia, of Henderson and Willie Lee McDaniel Jr., and wife Jenny Mae, of Lenoir, N.C.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home on 250 Boyd Lane, Henderson.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Timmy McDaniel, Tommy McDaniel, Buddy Watson, Harold Hunt Jr., Roy Morton, Jim Pegram, Gray Boyd, Greg Kelley and Charlie Rowe.2
