  HENDERSON — Inez Overby Beckham Daeke Gee, age 92, a resident of 811 S. Lake Lodge Road,
  died Tuesday, June 30, 2009,

  Center. Born in Halifax County, Virginia on July 29, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Millard
  Filmore Overby and Nora Bell Redd.
  Mrs. Gee was preceded in death by her husbands, Theldred Thomas
  Beckham Sr., Fredrick William Daeke, Jr., and Wilson Gee.
  She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was the organist
  for more than 20 years, and also attended Bible Baptist Church.
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the J.M. White
  Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wilbert Horton, the Rev. Donnie Perkinson, and the Rev. Tammy
  Ayscue. Burial will follow in the Fuller Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery.
  She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Beckham White and husband, Billy, of Henderson;
  two sons, T.T. Beckham Jr. and wife, Dot, and Andrew Joel Beckham of Henderson; two stepsons, Larry Daeke and wife,
  Velma, of Henderson, and Tim Gee and wife, Lora, of South Hill, Va; one stepdaughter, Paula Davis
  and husband, Marc, of Chapel Hill; five grandchildren, Tammy Beckham Briggs and husband,
  Ronnie, T.T. Beckham III and wife, Jeaneen, Angela Beckham Overby
  and husband, Tony, Andrew Joel Beckham Jr., and Aileen Jenna
  Beckham; seven greatgrandchildren,
  Brandi Briggs Reynolds, and
  husband, Jason, Bradley Briggs, Brian Beckham, Jamie Beckham, Whitley Overby, Abigail Overby
  and Luke Overby. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Ronnie Daeke; five brothers, Lee

Mrs. Grissom was a homemaker and a member of Harriett Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union and was a former Sunday school teacher in the Junior Philathea Class.
  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harriett Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben Bates. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
  She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Young of Greenville and Cindy Grissom of Henderson; three sons, Allen Grissom of Henderson, Chris Grissom and wife, Lea Anne, of Frankewing, Tenn., and Steve Grissom and wife, Denise, of Henderson; two sisters, Mildred Evans and Ruby Jenkins, both of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Joshua Young, Adam Young, Justin Young, Brad Reavis, Jason Reavis, Callea Hinton and Richard Young; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Young, Ethan Young, Tori Reavis, Hailey Reavis and A.J. Reavis; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Scott Grissom and Anthony Virgil "Tony" Grissom; one sister, Mabel Grissom; and two brothers, Edward Pace and Joseph Pace.⁴

  Died, at her home near Bearpond, Vance County, on the morning of December 22, 1900, Mrs. Flora M. Beckham, wife of C.B. Beckham. She had been a great sufferer for many years during which time she bore her affliction with patience and fortitude, meekly resigned to the will of Him who doeth all things well.
  Deceased was a member of Plank Chapel M.E. church and was a consecrated, consistent Christian. She loved her church and her pastor though for a long time she had been deprived of the privileges of the sanctuary owning to her physical infirmities.
  Mrs. Beckham was the daughter of the late Alfred Perdue, and was in her 43rd year. She leave a devoted husband and four children beside a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her death. But their loss is her gain. She is better off now, the racked body is free from pain, her saintly soul sweetly at rest.
  The remains were taken to her grand-father's old place and there interred in the ancestral burying ground.³
