  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Flowers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Leon J. Pernell. Burial will follow in the Faulkner family cemetery in Franklin County.
  Surviving are a son, Kenneth Earl Pernell of Alert; three sisters, Pearl P. Pernell of Norlina, Annie P. Blanton of Henderson and Earnestine P. Strickland of Raleigh; one brother, Clinton N. Pernell of Butner; and a grandchild. She was preceded in death by sisters Lorena P. Ays-cue and Daphine P. Pleasants and brother Johnnie P. Pernell.
  The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home.
