Cornell, both of Henderson; a sister, Gladys Perkinson of Henderson; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jane Faulkner Stevenson; a daughter, Sarah Jane S.
  Ranes; and a son, Bruce Stevenson.
  The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Thelma and Tom Abbott at 1020 Jackson Royster Road in the Middleburg community.
  Serving as active pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bruce Stevenson Jr., Anthony Wayne Ranes, Jesse Elliott, Gregg Stevenson, Eddie Stevenson Jr., Billy Stevenson Jr., Scott Ranes, Jonathan Stevenson, Brian Stevenson, Phillip Stevenson and Austin Stevenson.³

  John Richard Stevenson, 58, died of tuberculosis at the Scott Parker Sanatorium at 9 a.m. o'clock this morning after an illness of two and a half years. He had been a patient at the Sanatorium for the past two years.
  Mr. Stevenson, a farmer all of his life, resident of the Epsom community and for the last 15 years had been a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
  Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at New Bethel Baptist church, at Epsom, in charge of Rev. T.B. Reavis, his pastor and internment will follow in the church cemetery.
  He was a native of Warren county, and was born September 14, 1877.
  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Maggie West Stevenson, and the following children: Bonnie, Andrew, Thomas, John Perkin, Herman and Carlyle Stevenson, mrs. L.A. Abbott, Mrs. Allen Renn and Misses Carrie Lous and Thelma Stevenson, all of Vance county and one brother, B.S. Stevenson of Henderrson. His parents, John Stevenson and Mrs. Kitty Lou Falkner, have bben deat for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Onnie S. Frye; six brothers, Andrew Stevenson, Thomas Stevenson, John Stevenson, Carlyle Stevenson, Herman Stevenson and Bonnie Stevenson; and two grandsons, Keith Weeks and Kent Weeks.
