  He was a native of Vance County, a mechanic with the former Clements Motor Co., and a former deacon in the First Baptist Church.
  The funderal service was to be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church by the pastor, Dr. Marion D. Lark, assisted by the Rev. John W.S Davis. Burial followed in Elmwood cemetery.
  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lula Faulkner Davis of the home; five sisters, Mrs. Betty Clayton, Mrs. Fannie Davis, Mrs. Lucy Wright and Mrs. Dorothy Newton, all of Henderson, and Mrs. Katie Averette of Oxford; and one brother, J. Clarence Davis of Henderson.
