  She was a retired seamstress at Belk's and was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was a member of the adult Sunday school class for over 40 years.
  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church by the Rev. Ricky Easter and the Rev. Steve Pryor. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
  She is survived by: her husband, Macy Fenner Boyd of the home; two sons, Russell Wayne Boyd and fianc?e Cynthia Vaughan and A.D. Harris and wife Carol of Henderson; four sisters, Joyce E. Poole of Kittrell, Dorothy Winters Smith and Virginia E. Bowers both of Henderson, and Mary E. Journigan of Port Smith, Va; four grandchildren, Wesley Harris, Adam Harris, Matthew Short, and Jacob Harris; and her best friend, Dale Pryor.
  She was preceded in death by one sister, Mamie "Sis" Faulkner, and three brothers, Benjamin Edwards, William "Biddie" Edwards, and Clarence "Buck" Edwards.
  The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at her home on Club Pond Road.
  Serving as active pallbearers will be David White, Brian Edwards, Charles Strother, Wayne Wattenbarger, Gary Freshour, and Mike Adcock.
  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all members of the adult Sunday school class at Victory Baptist Church.²

He was a native of Warren county and born May 22, 1883, and had lived in Henderson for the past eight or ten years.
  Mr. Edwards had been a crossing watchman for the Seaboard Air Line railroad in Henderson about eight years. Before coming to Henderson he had engaged in farming.
  He was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist church in this county for fifty years.
  Funeral services will be held at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at three o'clock, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Gilmer J. Beck, with burial in the church cemetery.
  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Irene Augusta Vaughan Edwards; and the following children: Mrs. Dave Hayes, and John A. Edwards of Route 2 Henderson; Edgar V. Edwards, Louisburg, Route 3; Troy L. and Julius O. Edwards, Carl N. Edwards and Miss Grace Edwards all of Henderson; and Mrs. Ralph Comer, of Newport News, Va; one brother, Claude V. Edwards, Route 1 Henderson, and three sisters; Mrs. Herbert Faulkner, Mrs. George Hughes and Miss Annie Edwards all of Route 2 Henderson.
