  She was a native of Vance County, the daughter of the late Lucy W. Abbott and E. R. Abbott, and was the widow of Henry Lee West. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Henry Lee West Plumbing, which she and her husband owned.
  
  Surviving daughters, Brenda W. Hoyle and Vickie W. Watkins, both of Henderson; brothers, Hubert Abbott of Raleigh, Morris Abbott, Thurston Abbott and Gilbert Abbott, all of Henderson; sisters, Dorothy A. Hutto of Gaston, S. C., Eleanor A. Short of Norlina, Frances A. Abbott and Patricia A. Ellington, both of Henderson; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
  
  Preceding her in death were brothers, Bill Abbott, Jessie Abbott, Bryant Abbott, Wilton Abbott; sisters, Golden A. Patterson, Maude A. Edwards, Catherine A. Abbott and Dora A. Felts; and one grandson.³
