  Mrs. Stokes was a member of West End Baptist Church. She was retired from Westinghouse, after 35 years of service.
  A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Friday at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Dr. Larry Padgett.
  Surviving are her brother, Jack Faulkner, and wife, Delores, of Raleigh; three sisters-in-law, Helen Faulkner, Katie W. Brummitt, and Mary W. Wade, all of Henderson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Faulkner; and a brother, Julian T. Faulkner.⁴

  Mrs. Martha Ann Falkner, wife of John H. Falkner, died at her home in the country at 11 o'clock Saturday morning. She had been failing for a month or more but her immediate sickness was a short duration. Heart trouble was the cause of death. Mrs. Falkner was 70 years old. she had been a devout Christian, member of the Methodist Protestant church since whe was 16 years old. She was a good womand and a kind neighbor and will be missed in the community where she lived. Besides her husband Mrs. Falkner left five children, three of these, John A., Eugene and H.O. Falkner, living in Henderson.
  The funeral was held at the home at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. G.W. Holmes, pastor of Mount Carmel Church, where deceased held her membership, conducting service. Internment was made on the premises, a large crowd of sorrowing and sympathizing friends being present to pay the last sad tribut of respect to one they knew and loved so well.³

• Obituary: On 13 December 2005 at Henderson, Vance Co., NC, HENDERSON - Mary Gene Falkner Teiser, a resident of 2222 Woodland Road, Henderson, N.C., passed away at her home on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the age of 82. Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Hammie O. Falkner and Eugenia Alice Hicks Falkner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Sigmund Teiser.
  The youngest of nine children, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Falkner Allen and Martha Falkner Mitchell; and five brothers, Elvin Overton Falkner, John Macy Falkner, Robert Macon "Bob" Falkner, Hamilton Hicks Falkner, and Douglas Taylor Falkner.
  Mrs. Teiser was a devoted housewife. She was a 1940 graduate of Henderson High School and attended East Carolina College. She was a
  member of the Methodist Protestant Church and the First United Methodist Church of Henderson, where she was a member of the Chancel Choir, Circle No. 3, and the L and F Club.
  A private burial will be held in Sunset Gardens. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 4:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church., conducted by the Rev. Charles M. Cook.
  Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Teiser Day, and husband, Sears, and Carolyn Teiser Haddock, and husband, John, all of Henderson; a son, Robert Eugene Teiser, and wife, Kimberly, of Henderson; four grandchildren, Martha Kathryn Haddock, John Hamilton Haddock, Mary Genia Day, and Brian Robert Teiser; and a sister, Florence Falkner Oakley, of Jacksonville, N.C.³
