She was founder and president of the Northern Westchester Junior League as well as national vice president of the Association of Junior Leagues of America. Mr. and Mrs. Niles met when they were founding executives of the United Way of Northern Westchester. Born Oct. 31, 1921, in Winston-Salem, he was a son of the late Luther and Carrie Faulkner. A member of Lakeview Baptist Church, he retired from Shuford Mills after 40 years of service. Mr. Faulkner served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
  
  Mr. Faulkner is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bertram L. Gunsley, and a half brother, Nathaniel Faulkner of Palatka, Fla. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Bollinger Faulkner of the home; three daughters, Libby Skinnell of Newton and Connie Gunsley and Tamara Kraus of Conover; a son, Charles Faulkner of Conover; and four grandchildren, Mark Skinnell, Michael Faulkner, Tyler Gunsley and Ashton Gunsley.
  The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Ben Rowe at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park.
  
  The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

And the three ladies had still another distinct and most unusual thing in common that they shared for many years; - Like her sister and her cousin, Mrs. Lillian Faulkner was a Faulkner who married a Faulkner. Her late husband, William Joseph Green Faulkner, was not, however, kin to the husband of the other two who died recently. Mrs. Bessie Faulkners late husband, Howard V. Faulkner Sr.was the brother of Arthur S.Faulkner, Mrs. Hettie Faulkner's late husband. Mrs. Lillian Faulkner was the oldest of 13 children and had two surviving sisters. They are Mrs. Rozzelle Robertson,81,of Henderson and Mrs. Mary F Hoyle of Burlington, who is over 90. Prior to entering the nursing home in 1981, Mrs. Faulkner had been a homemaker who reared eight children,six of whom survive in the Faulkner Town Community. She was the mother of retired National Guard Warrant Officer Durwood Faulkner who died last year. She was a charter member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements will be announced Wednesday by J M White Funeral Home.²
