  He was an Army veteran and medically retired from Murdoch Center.
  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Floyd Jackson. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
  Surviving are four sisters, Mary Manning of Nashville, Edna Baker and Myrna Neal, both of Louisburg, and Julia Hicks of High Point; and a brother, Billy Ayscue of Louisburg.²
