Both Franklin County and Vance County have committee's composed of genealogists and historians that are in the process of preparing County Heritage books for publication. They are still accepting articles and orders for the books however the deadlines are drawing near.
Vance County's deadline has been extended to September 1, 2010 and Franklin County's deadline has been extended to July 15, 2010.
This will be the second volume published for Franklin and Vance County. These books will be filled with family histories and pictures as well as stories about local churches, schools, businesses, etc. They are a valuable source of genealogy for families from this area.
